The value is in the whole home. Connecting it is the hard part.

A few years ago a flexible home meant one device, usually the car. Now it’s the car, a battery, solar, often a heat pump, all in the same house. One device at a time, that home isn’t worth much. Run together, around the home’s own prices and habits, it’s worth a lot. The catch is you can’t run what you can’t reach. If half the devices won’t connect, you’re coordinating a fraction of the home.
